Belly breathing.

You can lay down on the couch or on your bed and put one hand on your belly for this exercise. If you want, you can ask your favorite stuffed animal to join you by placing it on your stomach and holding it with one hand.

Slowly breathe in, and notice how your belly expands like a balloon.

Now slowly breathe out, and notice how your belly goes down again.

You can do this as often as you want and every time you feel like you need it.

You can practice this standing as well. Put one hand on your belly and one hand on your chest. Try to only move your belly when you breathe in and not move your chest. I know it takes some practice, but I know you can do it. And don’t forget to breathe out.
