Chapter 1 Draw/Craft Assignment

Drawing/Crafting about how you feel

If possible, choose a quiet spot where you have enough space to work and take a moment to relax, so you can focus on your work.

What does excited look like to you? How does it feel? What color has it? What shape? What texture? And just so you know, whatever you choose to draw or craft is ok.

Oliver is really excited about inviting his friends to visit his dad’s farm. Draw or craft about feeling excited. When was the last time you were excited? Maybe when you knew you would get a new puppy or go back to school after all those months at home because of Covid.

Use materials you can find around you and be creative. Do this before you start, so you have everything ready to start working on your artwork. Maybe draw yourself feeling excited? You can make a collage of colorful scraps of paper, don’t forget your crayons if you have them. Use your imagination; I know you can make something beautiful about what excitement looks like to you.

Would you like to send me a picture of your art? I would love to see what you made. Ask for help from your parents to email or WhatsApp me a picture of it. Don’t forget to write your name on it, so I know who’s artwork it is.
